Windowless Seats Lawsuits Against Delta & United

Travelers said Delta and United do not flag these seats throughout the reservation process, unlike rivals such as Alaska Airlines and American Airlines, also when billing tens or sometimes numerous dollars for them.

Class Action Lawsuits Filed

Recommended class activities were filed versus United in San Francisco government court and against Delta in Brooklyn, NY, government court, looking for numerous bucks of damages for greater than 1 million travelers at each provider.

Passenger Grievances

“Had plaintiffs and the class members known that the seats they were purchasing (were) windowless, they would not have actually chosen them– much less have paid added,” the United grievance claimed. The Delta grievance had similar language.

The Delta claim is led by Nicholas Meyer of Brooklyn, and the United lawsuit is led by Marc Brenman of San Francisco and Aviva Copaken of Los Angeles. Copaken stated United refunded fees for her windowless seats on two flights, yet not a third.

The instances are Meyer v Delta Air Lines Inc, United States District Court, Eastern Area of New York, No. 25-04608; and Brenman et alia v United Airlines Inc, United States Area Court, Northern Area of San Francisco, No. 25-06995.
